Character Animation One Final Project

This is my final project for Character Animation One. This was so not my strong suit, at all, what so ever. I had so many emotional moments with this project because for the most part I didn't understand the movements. I only really knew what I was doing in lab when I had someone there helping me learn, and re-reading the PDF files like crazy. It turned out better than expected though. I had to learn to take it in bits and pieces and not as a giant whole, otherwise I would get overwhelmed. Anyway, enjoy Bugsy and his elevator button push!

Visual Effects Project Three

This was my third Visual Effects project for this month. We were to make a soft body effect so I created a Vaporeon! I'm prouder of the model I made more than the video, though I think it turned out ok. I had to use a Blinn rather than Mia Material X. Originally I used the Material X because it was a higher quality but the render was on its way to taking 40+ hours. So I switched to lower quality to get it in on time. Enjoy!

Visual Effects Project Two

This is my second project for Visual Effects. The point of the project was to get to know how to use particles. I decided to create a water flowing effect, a splash, and fireworks. I used paint effects for the flowers and created the fountain myself. It took about ten total hours to render all together but it was so worth it in the end. I wish I had put sound to it, though I don't think it takes away from the effect I created. This was my proudest piece from this month.

Visual Effects Project One

This is the first project I completed in my first Visual Effects class. The assignment was to create a Rube Goldberg type of effect. I chose to create my own scene and the result was something I'm pretty proud of. Making the Lego man himself was time consuming but really fantastic all at the same time. It gave me a chance to model using strictly Maya again and figure out a way to make something that can come apart in pieces perfectly.

First Day!

Hello, everyone! I am currently in the end of my twelfth month at Full Sail University. Out of the past twelve months I have earned one course director award in Methods of Design and have obtained a 3.7 GPA. It's been difficult to say the least. Though this past month I think has been where I've grown the most. In my Visual Effects class we were given so much freedom, and it really sparked my passion again. I got so into the projects and really made them my own! So now all the posts after this one shall be updates on my life, how my work is going, and progressive art pieces as well! I look forward to all of you giving feedback or just simply enjoying the work I do. Have a great day!
